The Allegany Museum is a nonprofit organization. Through many caring individuals who have helped us in the past, we are able to operate a successful museum while keeping FREE admission. Donations are always welcome and appreciated. The Allegany Museum has relied on the kindness of donors since its inception. This is especially true of our collections. If you have something you’d like to donate, we would love to talk with you. Thank you for considering a donation to the Allegany Museum!

Donations are vital to the future of the Allegany Museum for:

Conserving and maintaining our collections and historic building
Presenting innovative temporary exhibitions
Continuing our commitment to high quality education programs and research
Purchasing key acquisitions

You can contribute to the Allegany Museum by:

Giving cash personally in a Museum donation box
Sending a check payable to ‘Allegany Museum ’ using form located below.
Making a gift of quoted shares or securities. Generous tax benefits are available for donors of shares and securities listed on the stock exchange

Such gifts are exempt from capital gains tax and the donor will receive income tax relief on the full market value of shares at the time of sale. Please contact us to discuss how to make a gift by this means.
